Bupleurum americanum
American Thorowax is an erect, annual herb native to North America. Growing up to 4 feet tall, it has bright green, oval-shaped leaves and small, yellow or white flowers. It prefers open, sunny areas with well-drained soils and can be found in mayflower meadows and along roadsides and railway embankments. It’s a great source of nectar and pollen for bees and butterflies, making it an excellent choice for pollinator gardens. American Thorowax is easy to grow and resistant to many garden pests. Plant it in the spring and enjoy its blooms later in the summer.
