Agoseris heterophylla var. heterophylla
Annual Agoseris (Agoseris heterophylla var. heterophylla) is a flowering perennial plant. This hardy plant grows to a height of 15-30 cm. The leaves of the plant are alternate, oblong-broad, stalkless and deeply toothed. The flowers are yellow, 2-3 cm in diameter, and are generally borne in clusters of two or three. Annual Agoseris is an excellent choice for adding a splash of color to any garden, and provides excellent erosion control. It is considered an important part of the ecology of many wetland areas. It is also an excellent food source for wildlife, and its pollen helps to ensure a healthy bee population.
