Amaranthus blitum subsp. blitum
Amarante Livide, or Amaranthus blitum subsp. blitum, is a low-growing, herbaceous annual native to parts of Europe, North Africa, and Asia. It is known for its attractive, semi-succulent leaves and funnel-shaped clusters of vivid pink or purple flowers. Most Amarante Livide plants reach a maximum height of 40 cm and prefer to grow in moist, well-drained soils in full sun. It is also a great addition to any garden or container setting thanks to its ease of growth and vibrant blooms. The interesting shape of its leaves also adds a unique texture to any flower bed or patio display.
