Sternbergia lutea
The Autumn Daffodil is a perennial bulb plant belonging to the genus Sternbergia. It stands 25–35 cm tall with yellow flowers shaped like cup-shaped daffodils. The yellow petals are around 2–2.5 cm in diameter with a bright yellow centre and are produced in the cooler months of September–October. Its evergreen leaves are narrow and rather fleshy. The plant is highly drought-resistant and requires very little maintenance. It needs full sun for best flowering and is suited to rock garden beds, borders and containers.

Seasonal Adjustments
Adjust watering frequency based on temperature, humidity, and season. Water more frequently in summer and less in winter.
Pro Tip: Check soil moisture before watering. Stick your finger 1-2 inches into the soil—if it's dry, it's time to water!
Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost date
Divide root ball in spring, replant sections immediately
Remove offsets from parent plant base, replant separately
Join scion to rootstock, bind securely until healed
Bend stem to soil surface, cover lightly, roots form in 4-6 weeks
Good For:
Consider Carefully:
Needs at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily. Place in the sunniest spot in your garden.
Allow soil to dry out between waterings. Overwatering can cause root rot.
