Alcock's spruce (Picea bicolor 'Howell's Dwarf') is an evergreen needled shrub, native to the Pacific Northwest. It is a fast-growing dwarf evergreen shrub, which is ideal for rock gardens, or foundation planting. It has a compact pyramidal form shape and its foliage consists of green and blue needles. It grows at a moderate to fast rate and reaches of up to 5’ tall and 2’ wide in 10 years. Alcock's spruce is a reliable asset in garden landscapes since it does not need pruning and can be used to line walkways or line borders. It is also wind and sun tolerant and drought-tolerant once established.
