Rhododendron 'Dark Sister'
Big-Leaved Rhododendron (Rhododendron 'Dark Sister') is an attractive evergreen shrub that produces an abundance of large, glossy, deep purple leaves. This ornamental plant has rich yellow-green flowers that contrast nicely with the dark leaves. Dark Sister Rhododendrons will grow to a maximum height of 6 feet with a 3-foot spread. These plants do best in partial shade and prefer acidic, moisture-retentive soil. Once established, this beautiful and hardy shrub does not require much maintenance and is resistant to deer and rabbit damage. Its gorgeous foliage and flowers make it perfect for use as a landscape plant, and this easy-care species will provide beautiful accents in any garden.
